Edit a customer's info

This is how you fix or update a customer’s information after they’ve already been added — their name, email, phone, date of birth, address, driver’s license, or insurance. One panel lets you update everything at once, and FleetLoop only saves the fields you actually changed.

  • The customer must already be added — see Add a customer.
  • Know what needs to change.
  1. Go to Customers, then click the customer’s name to open their page.
  2. Click Edit near the top of the page.

  1. Under Profile, update the first name, last name, email, phone, or date of birth as needed.
  2. Under Address, update the street address, city, state, ZIP, or country.
  3. Under Driver’s license, update the DL number, state, or expiration date.

  1. Under Insurance, update the carrier, policy number, or group number.
  2. Click Save changes.

The panel closes and the customer’s page immediately shows the updated information.

A field shows a red error message. When you click Save changes, FleetLoop checks emails, phone numbers, dates, and ZIP codes — fix the flagged field (for example, “Enter a valid email” or “Use a 5-digit ZIP or ZIP+4”) and click Save changes again.

“No changes to save.” You clicked Save changes without editing anything — either make a change first, or click Cancel to close the panel.

A red error box appears after clicking Save changes. Something went wrong saving to FleetLoop’s servers — the message explains what happened. Try again in a moment, and if it keeps happening, contact support.
