3. Business details

Right after you create your account, FleetLoop walks you through naming your shop and adding its first physical location. These details show up on rental contracts, invoices, and customer messages, so it’s worth getting them right — though you can always change them later from Settings.

Have on hand:

  • Your shop’s name (the one customers will recognize)
  • A short one-word-style name for your shop’s web address (letters, numbers, and dashes only)
  • Your main location’s street address, phone number, and an email address for customer-facing messages
  1. On the Name your shop screen, enter your Shop name.
  2. Enter a Subdomain — this becomes part of your shop’s web address (for example acme-collision). FleetLoop checks as you type and tells you right away if it’s available.

  1. Click Continue.
  2. On Add your first location, enter the Location name (for example “Main shop”).
  3. Enter the Street address, City, State, and Postal code.
  4. Enter a Phone number and a Shop email — this email is shown on rental contracts, invoices, and customer notifications.

  1. Click Continue.

You move on to the next setup step without an error message, and your shop’s name appears at the top of the page from then on.

“That subdomain is taken.” FleetLoop suggests a few alternatives right under the field — click one to use it, or type your own.

“Use 3-32 characters: lowercase letters, numbers, or dashes.” Your subdomain can’t have spaces, capital letters, or punctuation other than a dash.

I need to fix these details later. Go to Settings → Business details to rename your shop or update its logo, and Settings → Locations to edit the address, phone, or email, or to add more locations. Both are owner-only.
